About This Site

New Extras is a site for cataloguing mainly free and open-source software but has expanded to also cover proprietary software where relevant. The software catalogued in this site is generally biased towards my preferences, so there is a general bias on the software that I personally enjoy using. The software catalogued on this site tends to focus on what I’m more familiar with and what I personally use. This means there will be more of a focus on creative software like image editors, video editing software, etc. That’s not to say that it will be the only software catalogued on this site, it is just that I will write about the software that I use and have more experience with.

The site itself is build using HUGO using a modified stack theme hosted on Codeberg Pages. The source code for this site is available on Codeberg under the GPL-3.0.

Hello there, I go by XeWen and I’m a guy on the internet and I do art and things. I’m a hobbyist doer of mostly digital art such as graphic design, video stuff, music production as well as making games. Other than that I am an enjoyer of artWhen I say art, I mean any creative expression, it could be anything from music, to video games, to film, to novels, I’m not too picky., philosophy, exercise, language learning, technology and FOSS Software.
